Deadline for registrations for the next Basic Pathway class at Rhodes State College is Friday.
We are taking registrations for our next Basic Manufacturing Pathway class that will run March 13-29. This class will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Rhodes State College.
This course includes National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) tests. These three WorkKeys assessments cover Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information. Scores on these assessments determine the certificate level—bronze, silver, gold, or platinum—an individual can earn. They can take their test results and market themselves in their pursuit of jobs as these tests are recognized by thousands of employers. Tests and the certificates earned are no cost.
This class includes a module in which students will receive hands-on training on troubleshooting an integrated systems simulator.
In addition, the class covers basic math and measurement, quality, continuous improvement, safety in the workplace, communication, teamwork and other soft skills. Students will also create or upgrade their resumes, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and register on the Ohio Means Jobs website.
Complete either course and earn a certificate, referrals for employment, weekly job openings, job fairs and other events to enhance your opportunities for employment. The Rhodes State/OSU-Lima Spring Job & Internship Fair is coming up and students will receive information on this and other events during the class.
If interested in attending either class, please respond by email, or call me at 419-995-8353
